Russian President Dmitry Medvedev decided to become better acquainted with the security systems of the Moscow underground subway rail network and toured the underground system. He chose the Okhotny Ryad station as a test and was accompanied by the mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin, by the Transportation Secretary, Igor Levitin, by the head of the Ministry of Emergency Response, Sergei Shoigu, by the head of the Federal Security Service, Alexander Bortnikov, and also by the Secretary of the Interior, Rashid Nurgaliyev.

The President surveyed the public warning system, which is a suspicious activity control complex incorporating radiation monitoring and explosives detection and another system designed to inspect baggage and passengers. Smilart is proud to help keep the public safe.
